Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Honored as Best Humanitarian Personality 2017

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh was honored as Best Humanitarian Personality for 2017, during a special ceremony to honor the best humanitarian personalities of 2017 at the Abu Nusair Cultural Forum. 
 Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was honored in recognition of his efforts in humanitarian, cultural and social work and for his constant endeavor to promote principles of tolerance and justice in Jordan.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed gratitude for being honored and called for the the culture of giving to be strengthened saying that true happiness is in making other people happy.  

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that Jordan is undergoing economic difficulties that cannot be dealt with by the government alone adding that it us up to each citizen to play a role in helping towards boosting the national economy of their homeland.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh referred to The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum which aims to progress society towards becoming a knowledge-based society.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the Finnish experience as a role model, noting that Finland is similar to Jordan in its population and limited resources; however, Finland depends on a knowledge-based economy and succeeded in enhancing its economy to the amount $180 billion of gross domestic product. 

President of Abu Nusair Cultural Forum, Dr. Abdul-Halim Al-Awamleh, stressed that honoring outstanding personalities would inspire and motivate people towards excellence adding that corporate social responsibility carried out by this elite group of distinguished figures is a source of pride. 

The ceremony included the participation of poets Kholoud Khaza'leh and Du'aa Al-Khaddour.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh awarded shields and certificates to the honorees at the end of the ceremony.
Twenty-nine Jordanian figures from various sectors were honored in recognition of their humanitarian services and efforts; these are:

Anti-Narcotics Department Director Brig. Gen. Anwar Tarawneh, Dr. Ajmal Touwiqat who offers free education for needy students, Mr. Ahmed Al-Zu'bi for his courage, Mr. Ahmed Abu Awad for developing volunteer work, Sheikh Ahmed Aboudi Al-Habashin Mr. Osama Haymour, Mayor of Rusaifeh for fighting corruption, Dr. Amin Abu Hijleh, the man of peace, Mr. Eyad Al-Adwan to convey the clear news sincere, lawyer Anas Shatnawi, Dr. Bilal Awad, Mr. Faisal Al-Qaisi, Eng. Khalid Al-Khashman, Mayor of Salt, Mr. Khader Bani Hani, Mr. Theeb Al-Nsour, Dr. Rola Al-Hroub, Ms. Suhair Abdel Qader, Dr. Shaker Al Abbadi,Dr. Thaher Ahmad Amro, Dr. Azzam Abu Elyan, , Mr. Abdul Aziz Dabeek, director of the Housing Bank, Mr. Zidan al-Hunaiti, Mr. Qasim Abu Ershid, Mr. Kamel Abu Orabi, Mr. Mohammed Aqeel, Mr. Mahmoud Hudaib, Eng. Haitham Jweinat, Dr. Haitham Mahseri, and Captain pilot Yusuf Da’ajeh.
It is noteworthy that the Forum aims at raising cultural awareness and enhancing a sense of belonging to the homeland. 

During the ceremony held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also honored a group of female trainers specialized in training people with disabilities.
