LOS ANGELES - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) published the Draft ICANN FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan, Draft ICANN FY26 Operating Plan and Budget, and Draft IANA FY26 Operating Plan and Budget for Public Comment from December 17, 2024, through February 14, 2025. All comments received were thoroughly considered and no material changes were required as a result of the feedback, a press release stated by ICANN. 

However, following the Public Comment proceeding, the ICANN organization reviewed the latest planning and financial assumptions—a key step in the process, which resulted in revisions to funding and expenses in the ICANN FY26 Budget. ICANN org also added more detailed explanations to parts of the ICANN FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan and FY26 Operating Plan and Budget.

The updated plans will be published on the Public Comment proceeding page ahead of the Board meeting in May 2025, where they will be presented to the Board for adoption. ICANN will be hosting a public webinar on April 28, 2025, to preview the proposed-for-adoption plans. This webinar will be recorded, and the recording will be posted on the ICANN Finance and Planning Community Group Workspace.

The Board is expected to adopt the ICANN FY26–30 Operating and Financial Plan and ICANN FY26 Operating Plan and Budget in May 2025. Under ICANN's Bylaws, after Board adoption, the Empowered Community has the ability to reject the plans before they take effect on July 1, 2025.
