AMMAN - The Journal of Management, Financial and Banking Studies, has hosted HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) for an interview in its recently published 117 edition.
During the meeting, several topics were thoroughly discussed such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and concerns about its impact on employment, as well as its future at the global and Arab region levels. That is in addition to the economic crisis the world is currently experiencing, among others.

At the beginning of the interview, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh talked about his life journey as a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon and how he started in Kuwait as an employee who, through determination and dedication, subsequently succeeded in establishing such a prominent Organization that presently operates  through more than 100 offices all over the world.

He further pointed out that he has dedicated to dedicate the next chapter of his life to raising awareness on the importance of digital transformation. He said that TAG.Global plays an effective role in implementing the digital transformation project in the Arab world, starting from the Arab countries where  technology is most needed like Lebanon, Syria, and Libya.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized that the Arab countries still have the ability and the potential to embrace technology and get going, pointing out that the first world's renaissance was led by the Arab world, and despite what is happening now, it still is qualified and capable of leading the world again.

On the growing concerns about the impact of AI on various fields of employment, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that although studies indicate that 85 million jobs will be replaced by machines by 2025, the same studies concluded that 97 million new jobs will be created in the same timeframe due to AI in the future.

He further gave several guidelines to developing countries to catch up with the train of economic development, starting with the importance of developing educational, technical, and professional training programs, moving towards becoming productive countries, pursuing a national plan to adopt advanced technologies and industries, in addition to becoming self-sufficient countries particularly with respect to food.

Concerning the economic crisis, numerous countries are currently experiencing, which Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh had previously predicted that it may lead to a third World War, he called on the Arab countries to implement the international agreements with the World Trade Organization (WTO) to ensure an attractive environment for investment, with the need to secure self-sufficiency and security.
