‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global’ and Higher Population Council Renew Cooperation Agreement

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and Jordan’s Higher Population Council (HPC) renewed the previously-signed agreement that aims at enhancing cooperation in a number of professional services offered by TAG.Global firms, with special emphasis on capacity-building services.

The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of TAG.Global, and the HPC Secretary General, Dr. Abla Amawi. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the important role HPC plays in all population and demographic-related activities and information, as well as its mission in raising awareness concerning issues relevant to development and population through well-oriented and planned programs, with a particular focus on overcoming challenges that prevent the achievement of Jordan’s population policies.

Given the significant role TAG.Global plays in disseminating knowledge and fostering capacity building, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in serving the Higher Population Council and all other institutions in our beloved country. 

Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that sharpening and enhancing competencies and capacities has become an urgent necessity that we need to keep abreast with, due obviously to the fact that our future relies completely on knowledge. He also stressed that developing employees’ competencies and skills improve significantly the level of provided services and enable the Council to keep up with development requirements.

For her part, Dr. Amawi stressed the importance of the agreement in enhancing cooperation between the Council and TAG.Global in the provision of training and professional services especially those pertinent to building the capacity of the Council’s employees, referring to the professional training programs they benefitted from during the last period.

Dr. Amawi also pointed out that the cooperation entails the assessment of the Council’s training needs to enable its cadres play the roles assigned to them in a mechanism that serves the people and promotes development. 

Dr. Amawi also praised TAG.Global’s leading role in developing the local community by providing an array of quality services that contribute to the development and progress of the society.

She further underlined the Council’s constant keenness on establishing effective partnerships with the private sector institutions which are considered the backbone of economic development and an important component in supporting demographic policies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.  

It is worth mentioning that the two parties agreed to form a joint taskforce to identify the Council’s training needs, noting that training courses will be held at TAG.Global headquarters; either at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy and/or Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation.
