AMMAN-Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) is pleased to introduce its comprehensive Published Patent Search Service (PPSS) that covers the Arab region.

This unique service which will be introduced in 2013 determines patents’ availability for use and registration, as well as it evaluates whether such patents conflict with previously existing rights owned by third parties.

Through AGIP’s database, the Intellectual Property Published Registrations (IPPR) Data Center, a highly trained and skilled staff will be conducting a comprehensive search for patents published in the Official Gazettes and National Patent Office websites in the Arab countries.

Using a number of criteria such as title, abstract, classifications, names (inventor/ applicant), numbers and dates (publication/ application/ priority) and patent families, AGIP introduces its most accurate and cost effective services. Moreover, clients will be provided with a search report incorporating the following information: bibliographic data including the abstract; legal status including the effective date, the expiry date of the right and transactions; original document and application document of the patent of interest, as well as claims in the English language if available.
