RADNOR, PA - HTH Worldwide, a global technology-based health services and information company, today announced in a press release that the Canadian Intellectual Property Office has issued a patent to HTH for its system of arranging appointments with medical providers via desktop and mobile devices all around the world.

HTH also holds patents for this process in the US, Australia and thirteen countries in the European Union. This grant further strengthens HTH’s position as the global leader in online and mobile medical assistance services.

HTH’s patent covers a process for broadcasting requests for doctor appointments in order to maximize a patient’s opportunity to see busy physicians on short notice. The HTH system is highly efficient and effective, combining electronic media with real-time monitoring to optimize the match between patient and doctor. “Patients around the world are seeking choice and convenience,” said Angelo Masciantonio, chief executive officer of HTH Worldwide. “HTH’s patented process represents a platform for enhancing both.”

HTH already deploys the broadcast process as a feature of its mPassport® iPhone applications covering hundreds of destinations outside the US. HTH has contracted with over 6,300 English speaking physicians in 185 countries.
